Somerville Open Studios 2019

The 21st annual Somerville Open Studios.

Vist some of the over 300 local artists who are opening their studios and workshops, inviting the public to view their work at more than 70 locations throughout the city of Somerville. Saturday, May 4th, and Sunday, May 5th, from noon to 6 pm. View the Artist Directory

All SOS events and locations are entirely free. There's no charge. There's no catch. Just come, see art, and be part of the community!

Not sure where to begin? Start your visit at our First Look Show at the Somerville Museum.
For SOS weekend, the show will be open both Saturday and Sunday, 11 am - 6 pm (opening one hour earlier than the rest of SOS).

OPENINGS & HAPPENINGS

While the main part of Somerville Open Studios 2019 has now ended, we have a number of exhibits that remain open for you to visit through the middle of May.

SOS First Look Exhibit - At Somerville Museum, One Westwood Road. You have two more days to see it:
- Thursday, May 16, 2-7 pm
- Friday, May 17, 2-5 pm
SOS Volunteers Show - At Bloc Cafe, 11 Bow Street in Union Square, through May 16. Bloc Cafe is open daily, 7 am -7 pm.
Home: Varied Perspectives, a curated show at Ivy Realty, 20 Holland Street in Davis Square. Open daily, 9 am to 6 pm, through May 18.
Art & Soul, a curated show at the Inside-Out Gallery, in the windows of the Davis Square CVS, through May 16.
AVATARS // futures - The NAVE Gallery's show is open Saturdays and Sundays, 1-5 pm, through May 18.
GREEN - The Spring Brickbottom Artists Association Members' Show is open Thursday-Saturday, 12-5 pm, through May 18.
Washington Street SOS Showcase, Saturdays 12-4 pm, through May 25.

Corrections to our printed Map & Guide

Changes since our printed Map & Guide went to press:

Because of forecasted rain, the SOS information booth in Davis Square will not be open on Sunday. Please email domore@somervilleopenstudios.org if you have any pressing questions.
Glass Paper Scissors will exhibit in the SOS Community Space at the Armory, 191 Highland Avenue (Map #45), not at Workbar Union (Map #68).
These artists will not be open for SOS 2019:
