Artist's Statement:
From the early years up to the present JoAnne has been working with a variety of texiles making clothing. She constructs her garments using a drape and pin method and a lot of spontaneity.
Not one to follow fashion trends, she finds satisfaction in designing and creating pieces that fit and flatter the wearer- rendering her work as wearable art.
JoAnne returns for the 6th year to participate in Beyond the Pattern-the wearable art/fashion show that kicks off open studios. Her models will be wearing a selection of her signature garments- including but not limited to the timeless cape!
Her clothing will be for sale at the armory throughout the SOS weekend.
