Artist's Statement:
BIO
Ioanna Tourkantonis was born in Astakos, Greece, and grew up in Athens.
She moved to the United States in 1995 and has resided in Boston ever since.
Ioanna specializes in Architecture, Documentary, Editorial and Fine Art Photography.
She graduated in 2009 from New England School of Photography with honors in both, Fine Art and Architecture. She was also granted from NESOP the Tyler Monroe Award for Creative Excellence and Spirit.
Ioannas work has been exhibited in a group show at Somerville City Hall (Somerville, MA), at the 20th Annual Students Exhibition at the Copley Society Gallery in Boston and other group and solo exhibitions.
She has also been published in Photographers Forum Limited Edition book with an honorable mention Best of Photography 2009.
Her work with New England Bridges combines her love for Fine Art and Architecture.
All fine art B&W images were printed in a darkroom using traditional techniques and alternative processes.
