Artist's Statement:
My work celebrates the bright, shiny, glittery and joyfulness in everyday life. My subject
matter is mostly botanicals and still-lifes, which allows me to continue focusing on
experimenting with materials, size and techniques. Through this exploration, I find that
there is this moment of being completely enveloped in creativity when everything else
falls away and thereâs a sense of true self and happiness. This is why I love to paint, for
these sometimes brief, and fleeting moments. My hope is that the shapes, colors and
textures I combine brightens someoneâs day as much as I enjoy creating them!
Iâve been painting, showing and selling my work since my days as a student at Skidmore
College. AMP are my maiden name initials and I started using the name AMPle art while
working on my Masterâs in Interior Design from the Corcoran College of Art + Design.
The possible combinations of fine art and design are endless!
