Artist's Statement:
My recent works, since early 2018, are mixed media collage made with newspapers in as many languages as I can collect in Somerville. I use the newspaper to create semi abstract city scapes and scenes, highlighting the beauty and diversity of our sanctuary city and other diverse cities. My goal is to celebrate and welcome the contributions of immigrants and refugees in eclectic urban spaces.

I've been a Somerville resident for 10 years. The majority of my older paintings are landscapes of sidewalk and neighborhood scenes located in Somerville and surrounding areas such as Cambridge, Medford, and Arlington.
