Artist's Statement:
I create one of a kind pieces of fabricated jewelry with sterling silver and vitreous glass enamel. My glass enamel paintings combine images from places visited and imagined. I focus on color, shape, and form and work freely and expressively. I build my surface from successive applications of vitreous glass with multiple kiln firings for each piece. My studio is at the Artisans Asylum in Somerville, MA where I also teach workshops in enameling and watercolor.
I have degrees from Skidmore College and an MFA from Boston University and taught visual arts in the Somerville Public Schools for 24 years.
