Artist's Statement:

Kelvy Bird is an internationally recognized graphic facilitator (drawing large pictures as people talk and can see the images unfold) who translates content into formats that aid with reflection and decision-making. Her most recent book, "Generative Scribing: A Social Art of the 21st Century", defines a practice that weaves words, pictures, and energy to reveal a system's potential.

As co-founder of the Presencing Institute, Kelvy has helped shape many in person and online offerings for a distributed community of change makers, most recently the edX course u.lab: Leading From the Emerging Future, for which she contributes extensive visual material. In 2016, she co-edited the anthology "Drawn Together through Visual Practice". She also co-founded dpict llc, a company specializing in scribing to advances social understanding at local and global scales.

Kelvy received her BFA in painting and BA in Art History from Cornell University. Her current residence is Somerville, MA.
