Artist's Statement:
I've always loved creating things.My inspiration comes from nature. I paint outside whenever possible and from photographs. Using these as a starting point, I hope to convey excitement, Joy, and my passion for color. I have taken classes regularly for the past 18 years, starting when my son was little. He is now in college. I've studied at such places as the Brookline Arts Center, the Decordova Museum School, and the Cambridge Center for Adult Education. I've been privileged to paint and take workshops in beautiful places like Marblehead and the coast of Maine. Participating in classed has provided me with time and space to work. I enjoy the camaraderie of other artists. I find the energy of the classroom enlivening and stimulating. I love that art is an ongoing process of learning and discovery.
