I've been teaching classes in my attic studio - What fun! And how much I've learned!
As always,I've been painting a range of still life, landscape, abstract, and people. I love the dialog with the painting, the continuous surprise of watching it "turn out," the sensuous quality of the paint itself, the vivid color, and the ultimate "pow" of the finished painting.
New this year - trying out a lighter, brighter palette - lots of pinks, oranges, teal, and bright green. Experimenting with collage, and using collage as the basis for paintings, Lots of abstracts, and lots of texture in all my genres.
New projects in my class: Drip n splash, collage and collage into painting, "Landscape and Memory." These have informed and inspired my own painting.
Please look for my solo shows at Simon's Cafe and Healthworks, and paintings in lots of other local shows including the Cambridge Art Association and Cambridge Center for Adult Ed.
