Artist's Statement:
Suzanne is a multi-media artist, currently making 3D "paintings." Oil paintings on board have moving and bobbing parts. A wall installation is comprised of Felted Fiber figures scurrying with their loads of rocks and bits of Icebergs.
In a continuation of her "Terra (not so) Firma" theme, we see the impact of climate change, with Icebergs in massive chunks floating by on the horizon. Women on land carry rocks, (the weight of the world) hither thither, while wearing remarkable outfits; because of course, they do, and can.

Suzanne has a MA. of Education in Creative Arts in Education from Lesley University, B.A. from University of Mich., certificate from the graduate degree program at U. of Wisc. in ceramics, has studied in France, Germany, participated in many workshops such as at Haystack in Maine and Castle Hill in Truro on Cape Cod and takes ongoing classes at the SMFA, MassArt, and Cambridge Adult Ed. Suzanne has had a studio at 6 Vernon St. for over fifteen years and lives in Somerville.
Suzanne is currently, for the month of May, Somerville's "Artist of the Month.
