Somerville: a hub of creative energy. It has been said that “art is the soul of the City” and nothing that illustrates that notion more than Somerville Open Studios (SOS). Each artist is our community plays a part in making Somerville a more vibrant place. They use their work to connect, engage, and bring joy to the everyday. But as an artist or creator …..what does that process mean to you?
This year’s SOS exhibit will feature the theme of “Art & Soul” where we welcome seasoned members and newcomers alike to submit works that reflect how art brings life to our community. Although all works will be considered, preference will be given to submissions around this theme, whether Somerville-specific or your own unique interpretation of that special magic that draws outsiders in. Share your style and your technique in this highly visible art show, on view through from April 15-May 15. The Inside-OUT Gallery is the display windows in front of the Davis Square CVS, which face directly on the center of the square.
Please note that this is a juried exhibition. Not all submitted work will be accepted.

Submissions should include - Up to 5 JPEGs of the available work you would like to show (max. 1200 pixels in length).

When choosing work please keep in mind that each panel of the four display windows has the following dimensions: 41 inches wide x 90 inches high (7.5 ft) x 16 inches deep (front to back). Applicants’ work must be available from April 14 - May 15. Work will be taken down on May 16 (weather permitting).
